Free Thanksgiving dinner Thursday at Walworth County Elks Lodge | Community Spirit
A free Thanksgiving dinner will be hosted at the Elks Lodge in Delavan. This is the fourth year this event is being offered to the public.
Patti and Chris Marsicano, who own the Village Supper Club at Lake Delavan, personally cook the homemade meal. They will cook 20 turkeys, several pounds of hand-mashed potatoes and other vegetables. If turkey isn't your dish, ham will be offered.
Guests of the complimentary meal can enjoy the feast either at the Elks Lodge located at 627 S. 2nd Street, Delavan or free home delivery is available.
The young men of Boy Scout Troop #328 and Cub Scout Pack #327 will be delivering the meals to homes.People can order delivered meals through Thanksgiving Day.
Free transportation will be provided to the Walworth-Lakeland Elks Lodge facility as well. The doors open at 11 a.m. and close at 4 p.m.
Coordinator Patti Mariscano said, “Our doors are open to those who are lonely or have nowhere to go for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We welcome those who can't afford to celebrate the holiday or who's family is too far away. Nobody should have to be alone on Thanksgiving.”
